Our Choose Ohio First (COF) scholars recently participated in a LinkedIn and Networking workshop in collaboration with Engineering Career Services at The Ohio State University. We were excited to welcome Matthew Rich, Peer Career Coach in the College of Engineering who shared valuable insights on building professional connections and leveraging LinkedIn for career development.

During the workshop, scholars learned strategies for creating a strong professional online presence, developing an effective elevator pitch, networking with alumni and industry professionals, researching companies and career opportunities, and conducting informational interviews. They also explored best practices for professional communication, meaningful networking, and following up with new connections.
