CIR Chat Session #3 Highlights: Heather and Yakob
The CIR Chat Session #3 had the opportunity to learn from Heather Brickman (IBEO-Engineering) and Yakob Getu (EFC). Both shared their work-based learning experiences and professional growth during the process. Heather shared insights from her Summer 2025 Technical Sales Internship at Trane Technologies and highlighted his five-week internship at JPMorgan Chase.
Heather and Yakob provided COF scholars with a valuable view of possible futures within engineering, sustainability, and software development. They both shared their experience of getting out of their comfort zone to go after what they were interested in and willing to try something new. By sharing their personal impact and learning to find and ask for help and mentorship, Heather and Yakob provided fellow COF scholars with key insights as to how to get the most out of any opportunity they may pursue. Thank you to Heather and Yakob for your inspiring stories and for making this a successful virtual session!
