The COF scholarship program at Ohio State celebrated their AU26 COF Welcome Meeting. This event was designed to offer scholars an opportunity to connect with peers, meet COF staff, and learn more about the resources and expectations for the academic year. Scholars were able to interact in different activities including small-group discussions and networking that fostered a strong sense of community. 

A highlight of the meeting was the visit of the Metro Schools External Affairs Coordinator, Cory Neugebauer. Our collaboration with Metro Early College High School benefits the community by connecting COF scholars with high school students and teachers in STEM classrooms. COF scholars provide additional academic support while encouraging students to strengthen their confidence and interest in STEM. They also serve as role models who can inspire students to consider STEM degrees and future careers. This partnership strengthens the connection between Ohio State and the local community while creating a positive impact on students’ learning and development.
