Outside of classes, she is the president of the Association of Computing Machinery, Women’s Chapter (ACM-W) as well as a teaching assistant for the Fundamentals of Engineering Honors Sequence (FEH). Jessica has completed two summer internships in the field of computer science. During the summer of 2022, she interned as a ServiceNow Developer Intern at OCLC in Dublin, Ohio. While there, she worked alongside the IT Service Management team to develop several forms, workflows, scheduled jobs, database records, and more on ServiceNow using out-of-the-box features and customized scripts in JavaScript. Last summer, she interned at Google in their Student Training in Engineering Program (STEP) at their headquarters in Mountain View California. Her team was within the Geo/Google Maps product area. She spent the summer building an Android mobile application by facilitating Critical User Journeys using APIs within the Maps and Places SDKs in Java, Kotlin, and XML to submit for accessibility testing.Jessica will present herr research experience in the CIR Chat Session on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 from 5:30PM - 7:00PM in Smith Lab Room 1076 (SM1076).
