INSW Science, Pharmacy, and Nursing: Prospective Students

Program Overview

The Innovators for a New STEMM Workforce (INSW) COF program, which is aligned with The Ohio State University institutional goals, is to provide highly trained and effective Bachelor’s in Science (BS) graduates in advanced science and health care sectors in key areas of economic interest to Ohio. This program will enthusiastically support the following majors: Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Nursing, and Pharmaceutical Sciences. In addition, the INSW-COF program supports diverse group of students in high demand Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Medicine (STEMM) disciplines in the College of Arts and Sciences, College of Nursing, and College of Pharmacy at The Ohio State University. The awards amount will be determined by the colleges and will be distributed equally across the Autumn and Spring semesters.

Eligibility  

Eligible students who apply to The Ohio State University are invited to apply for the OSU-COF scholarship through ScholarshipUniverse. The COF scholarship eligibility criteria includes:  

  • Be an Ohio resident.  
  • Be accepted and enrolled as a full-time or part-time student at The Ohio State University and declare a STEMM major approved by the program.  
  • Write essays outlining career aspirations and commitment to diversity.  
  • Must be an incoming freshman.  
  • Must maintain a 3.00 GPA or higher.  

Note: Completion of the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is not required to apply for COF, however, it is Strongly recommended that all students and applicants complete the FAFSA.

Application  

Application process to INSW Science, Pharmacy, and Nursing COF is typically opened December 1 with a priority due date of February 1. The application, however, will remain open until April 15. Applicants after the February 1 priority date will be added to the waitlist.
