About the Program

The ESI-COF Transfer program began awarding scholarships in 2017-18 academic year. This program accepts students who are transferring from Columbus State Community College and who are accepted to OSU in one of the following majors: Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Environmental/Environmental Health Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering or Biomedical Engineering. This scholarship is an annual award of $5,200 which will be distributed equally across the Autumn and Spring semesters. ESI-COF Transfer is invitation based and prequalified students will invited to apply through an email notification.

ESI-COF Transfer Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be a student who is transferring from Columbus State Community College (CSCC) and is accepted into OSU in the following majors: Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Environmental/Environmental Health Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering.Environmental/Environmental Health Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering.
  • Students' GPA and satisfactory performance in the FSO-COF program at CSCC will be considered during application.
  • Submitting an essay upon email invitation from the scholarship providers.

Pre-qualified students will be invited to apply to the scholarship.

ESI-COF Transfer Renewal Requirements

  • Maintain successful academic performance of a GPA at or above a 3.0.
  • Remaining in and progressing toward an eligible STEM major: Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Environmental/Environmental Health Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering.
  • Students can be full time or part time, but the scholarship award will be prorated to their credit hour totals.

Positive performance in the OHSE are the criteria used to determine continuation of funding. These scholarships are distributed on the condition of continued support of the COF Scholarship program by the Ohio Board of Regents.
